Section I: National achievements in social work

The Excellence in National Achievement Award is granted for work or actions of multiple non-profit stakeholders (whether or not civil), and national or collective achievement is intended to establish, develop, or develop social work or any of its aspects, which has a tangible impact on society. This branch of the award aims to contribute to the encouragement and appreciation of national achievements and their owners in the interest of the nation and the citizens.

Candidates for the Prize must meet the following conditions

  • To be a Saudi.
  • Be of good conduct.
  • Be creative, innovative and professional.
  • Be recognized for his accomplishments and have a good reputation in society.
  • Have a positive effect directly or indirectly.

The national achievement nominated for the award is evaluated according to the following criteria:

  1. Governance and transparency
  2. Effectiveness planning / quality
  3. Creativity and innovation
  4. Management of resources and partnerships
  5. Software and service operations
  6. Human resources and their development
  7. Impact achieved
  8. Inclusiveness
  9. Status achieved
  10. Documentation of the work

Who is awarded the prize?

The National Achievement Award is granted for work or multiple works to non-profit organizations (whether public and private), and it is not awarded again to previous winner.

Section II: Initiatives to support and encourage Islamic Endowment

The award aims at encouraging and appreciating the Islamic endowment and maximizing its role in social development in a way that achieves the general human interest. The Islamic endowment means every endowment allocated in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by governmental or quasi-governmental organizations or institutions targeting the general human interest.

Candidates for the Prize must meet the following conditions:

  • The work must be registered with the responsible official authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • To be dedicated to serving humanity.
  • That it has been established for at least three years.
  • To be consistent with the provisions of Islamic Sharia.
  • That it be general and not assigned to a class or group on an ethnic, sectarian, or sectarian basis.

The national achievement nominated for the award is evaluated according to the following criteria:

Who is awarded the prize?

The prize is awarded to an endowment carried by individuals, international organizations, local and foreign civil society organizations, universities and research centers, and non-profit organizations. The prize will not be awarded to previous winners.

Section III: Excellence in volunteering programs and projects

The award aims to encourage social, charitable and institutional work, by highlighting the distinct models of social work programs that have the characteristic of public benefit, transparency, and effectiveness in providing their services. Social programs are institutional work programs designed to provide educational, social, health, educational or service services. Whether it is in-kind, in cash, or in intangible ones, and not targeting material profit.

Candidates for the Prize must meet the following conditions:

  • 2- A copy of the agency’s official license
  • 3- Description of the work performed
  • 4- Any documents supporting the nomination, if any (certificates, photos, reports, curriculum vitae, recommendations ... etc.)

The award

  2. Managing human resources and volunteers for the program
  3. Resources and partnerships to support the program
  4. Governance and transparency
  5. Results of the human resources of the program
  6. Resource outcomes for program beneficiaries

Application requirements:

  • The nominated activity must be Saudi and the activity headquarters must be within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • The company adopting the social responsibility program must have an official commercial registry.
  • The work must be innovative, novel and original
  • The social responsibility activity of the company must be non-profitable.
  • That there be a system for work with clear and specific mechanisms for planning, documentation, follow-up and evaluation of the effectiveness of the entity's activity according to specific performance indicators.
  • To be serious and achieve a good reputation in society.
  • To be sustainable and viable.
  • At least three years have passed since the operation of the project.
  • It does not conflict with the general policies of the state in any way.
  • That documented official evidence and reports are available.

Who is awarded the prize?

The award is given to outstanding social programs offered through licensed institutional work. Or local civil society organizations. Or private sector companies through their social responsibility programs, universities and research and studies centers, and they are not granted again to the winning party.

Section IV: Social Entrepreneurship in Social Work

The pioneers of social work are individuals who have done great social work at the level of the country or the world. They have contributed to the service of humanity in general. They have presented examples of charitable work and ideas that have been applied in their societies. The aim of the award is to highlight the role of philanthropists and to highlight their distinctive models of philanthropy in order to motivate other individuals to present similar models that serve humanity.

Candidates for the Prize must meet the following conditions:

  • The social entrepreneur must be of good conduct.
  • The applicant should have a distinguished professional career in his own business and in supporting social work.
  • The applicant must be a candidate from an official body.
  • To be supportive of social work with its distinct ideas that are innovative and original.
  • That the business of the applicant for the nomination be non-profitable.
  • That the entrepreneur activity has clear and specific mechanisms for planning, documentation and follow-up.
  • That the business of the social entrepreneur be serious.
  • That the activity of the social entrepreneur is sustainable.
  • The entrepreneur must have practiced social activity for at least five years since his nomination for the award.
  • The activity of the social entrepreneur does not conflict with the general policies of the state in any way.
  • That documented official evidence and reports are available.

The award nominee is evaluated according to the following criteria:

Who is awarded the prize?

This award is given to individuals nominated from government agencies and local institutions. Universities and research and studies centers. Local civil society organizations. It is not awarded again to the person winning it.

Section V: Social Entrepreneurship in Social Work

The award aims to highlight the great role that companies can provide to their societies from various initiatives in serving and advancing society. Corporate social responsibility means all that is provided or done by companies in all their classifications or areas of their work and activities voluntarily, including initiatives to maximize their added value to society as a kind of their responsibility and duties towards Its community to which it belongs, provided that these initiatives include three basic dimensions (1 - the economic dimension - 2 - the social dimension 3 - the environmental dimension). These initiatives or activities may include the following areas: education and training, health, small and medium enterprises for youth, technology, Environmental protection, pollution control, housing, support for people with special needs, coordination with charitable agencies and others.

Candidates for the Prize must meet the following conditions:

  • The award nominee must:
  • The nominated work must be serving the Saudi community and be based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • The company adopting the social responsibility program must have an official commercial registry in the Kingdom
  • That the work is characterized by originality, novelty and innovation
  • That the company's social responsibility work is not for financial profit
  • The work must be professional according to clear systems, mechanisms and specific plans, subject to continuous monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the entity’s activity according to specific performance indicators.
  • The work must be prominent, serious, and socially reputable
  • To be sustainable and viable
  • The duration of the project should not be less than three years, and it has never won an award
  • It does not conflict with the state’s general policies and is consistent with the vision’s plans and development programs.
  • To attach policies, official reports and documented evidence of work.
  • That the company submitting the candidate's social responsibility work is registered as a member of the Social Coordination Center "Coordination", and if it is not registered, it is entitled to register in it before nomination

The social responsibility nominated for the award is evaluated according to the following criteria:

  1. Localization
  2. Local content
  3. leading businesses
  4. Public
  5. Charitable contributions / donations
  6. Volunteer
  7. Waste management and recycling
  8. Governance and transparency
  9. Impact measurement of the social responsibility program
